Most of the time I go to coffee shops to sit in a place with good ambiance where I can get some work done. The coffee is comparable to any other local well established coffee shop.... BUT coming here today I learned I can only get one hour of wifi per purchase. HuhWha? This is a coffee shop not an internet cafe.... enough to make Antidote not a place I would come to for some good ol' fashion coffee shop work done on a laptop around strangers.

Great place to chill and use wifi

Used to love going here in the evenings to do some work. Vintage decor inside is nice despite the small-ish space. Coffee was okay. Felt like a nice quiet neighborhood coffee shop and was very homey.

Unfortunately it’s no longer a good place to try to do any work or studying since wifi is only available 1h at a time and is slow if you can connect at all.

Unfortunately seems like management is so greedy / paranoid of people leaching their wifi and space that they’ve created a bad experience for people who would otherwise spend a lot of money there.

Creating good ambiance and a pleasant and useful atmosphere for people will make them way more money in the long run than going after every nickel and dime. Unfortunately seems to just be their philosophy given other reviews about being harassed to make purchases quickly.

Good place to rest with a coffee or spend some time with your laptop doing your things. There is daily roast speciality coffes menu, interesting. If there is not extremely hot outside, the outdoors terrace is nice.

Always a chill spot to just work on your laptop or read. I don't come here too often, but I have never had a bad time! Had their cafe au lait. Coffee was good! Staff was friendly. Whole space seemed clean. Prices are more than reasonable. I'd say for sure it's worth a try of you're in the area and need a cafe fix!

Cool cozy quaint coffee shop with lounge and outdoor seating. Could use easier accessible wifi without having to enter all your personal information.

Tried their specialty coffee, which is cajeta latte. The flavor is really good. Enjoyed it and would get it again.

Majority of their baked goods come from their sister store, Black hole coffee. They sell other cold beverages like kombucha, smoothies, etc.

There is seating outdoors and some have umbrellas. It does get cold inside.

They provide free water. There's also a toaster and microwave.

The wifi speed is decent. It does buffer a little bit if streaming (e.g. Spotify) but not if you're just browsing the Web. If you need wifi for more than an hour, you'll need to buy another item I think. The wifi expires after 1 hour, which sucks.

Parking in front is limited like other reviewers mentioned.

Very good coffee, bad wifi

Nomadical14.02.2025

Good small place to go get a sip of coffee, make sure to get a receipt in order to use their free wifi

Good coffee. Two hour of wifi per purchase is their official policy?

I will say the ambiance isn't horrible and the menu is very creatvite here and has a good variety. I will say I cannot support this place due to the fact that you are required to purchase something every 2 hours to get a code to access the wifi. For how mid the location is that's a very high demand from consumers. A long with the fact that im not sure if they are trying to save money but I was freezing to death.

Always a great place to get work done!!

Friendly staff and cozy place to work.

Loved the atmosphere, the drinks, and the service! I will say, though, if you enjoy logging into your Spotify or listening to music through Youtube while you work, a few sites are restricted. It took me a minute to get into a good work flow. Something minor, but I know some folx really need that to be productive. Hope this helps!

Great coffee and quiet place to do some work.

Andy Andersen14.02.2025

Nice place to have a coffee and enjoy the morning. There are also working spaces as well!

Iyke Blessings14.02.2025

Nice chill spot. Gave it 1 star because of always disconnecting internet connection. I can't get my work done if the internet keeps disconnecting and I have to key in the code every minute! This happened like 5 times in a 30 minute period. Very disruptive. The guy working there helped with a new code

A cute little neighborhood coffee shop. I always love the variety they use for their drip coffee and how relaxed it is. Great place to do some computer work on a weekend morning.

This cafe is a great place to get work done, chill, and decompress. If you are looking for a cafe or coffee shop that you need to focus but also don’t want to be around a lot of people come here. Agora was my go to place but it’s always packed. Antidote has comfy couches to do some journaling at, or tables where you can blog or edit videos. As a creative consultant it’s nice when I find spots that serve multiple purposes. They do practice social distancing so face mask are required. Their pastries are on point (oatmeal cookie & cheese croissant).

This place has improved. I had not been here in years. There must be a new manager. The employees seemed unhappy in the past with the exception of one or two. The coffee drinks were ok but at least they always used local milk. I would usually get a bottled drink from the cooler. A well thought out selection. The pastries have always been good. This time I liked the coffee as well. Patio has always been a nice feature. The neighborhood surrounding this spot can be sketchy later. There is weird energy in this area. My friend used to work here, locking up the shop alone on weekends. It’s really not safe to be out at certain hours in the heights. The police will harass you. Anyways the manager fired my friend because she didn’t understand what had happened. She then made up lies about her to the other employees, and even forced the employees to ban this person, who was just doing her job. This manager at the time didn’t look after the well being of the employees. This is the kind of person to fire an employee, (who was in a traumatic scenario bc of her job) make up lies about them and ban them from the shop. I hope for the employee’s sake that this manager no longer works there. As for the rude part owner lady (not D) I hope life has taught her to be more kind over the years lol. I wish them all well on their journeys. It was nice to stop by and see the shop is still there. It’s the power of the good people who co own it and the kind folk who are regulars.
