Cougar Grounds

Cougar Grounds is the student-run café at the University of Houston, renowned for its trendy, urban atmosphere and the best coffee on campus. Since its establishment in 2008, the café has secured a spot in students' hearts by offering a diverse selection of gourmet coffees, smoothies, and teas, as well as numerous vegan options. Ideally located next to the Eric’s Club Center for Student Success, the café underwent renovation and expansion in 2022. Cougar Grounds also serves as a learning laboratory for entrepreneurial thinking by involving students in operations and providing opportunities for practical experience in multi-unit management. The café boasts a strong connection to the local community by using coffee from local roasters and creating a welcoming environment where innovation and hospitality come to life.
