There are very nice kitchen for guests to use.
Outside and inside common area are nice.
Staff was friendly and nice.

Check in time is very late, if anyone is traveling from cities not far away.
Outside and inside common area are only available till 10 o'clock. I was there on rainy day and I would be more happy if it would be open for longer.
Breakfast are very limited. There were only bread toast with jem, nuttella. I would not call it a breakfast.
WC and bathrooms were a bit messy. Half mirror was broken, shower door was dammaged and leaked water outside. Did not leave the best impression.
Holder by the end of room is dangerous. It did not hold firmly and did fall. It could not hold a lot also and I would advise not to put head on side of it. It was a bit heavy and would not be nice if it would fall on someones head.
It was a bit strange that when check in, you do not get anything (key or card). Doors are unlooked and that does not feel so safe.
It was interesting that few hours after they gave me code for outside doors, they changed it and I had to call them to get in and get new code.

Leider extrem unfreundliches Personal (auch im telefonischen Kontakt). Ich geriet leider durch das Sturmtief und das damit zusammenhängende Bahnchaos in die Situation, erst einen Tag später anreisen zu können als gebucht. Ich habe die Unterkunft darüber informiert und mich entschuldigt. Ohne jegliches Verständnis für die Situation stornierte die Unterkunft meine Buchung, strich das Geld ein und ich muss nun irgendwo ein neues Zimmer buchen. Ich empfinde das als besonders frustrierend, weil sie wussten, dass ich auf dem Weg war und mit meinem Zimmer rechnete, was auch bereits bezahlt war. Eine Nachricht über die Stornierung von der Unterkunft bekam ich nicht. Telefonisch wurde zuerst nicht reagiert und dann einfach aufgelegt, weil ich vormittags anrief — das läge wohl außerhalb der Sprechzeiten des beschäftigten Personals. Alles in allem: Guter Kundenservice sieht anders aus. Sehr schade.

Dieses Hostel. Einfach nur gut. Der Inhaber kümmert sich um alles. Mein Bein ist kaputt. Er hat mich ohne Bezahlung einfach vom Bahnhof abgeholt. Anschließend gab es Getränke in der Bar bei einem Fußballspiel. Faire Preise. Eine Flasche Bier für 2,40 Euro. Ich fühle mich sehr gut behandelt. Ich fùhle mich wie zu Hause. Das Wohnzimmer_Essen eben.

Wenn Du ein Zuhause auf Zeit suchst komm hierhin. Aldi und Lidl, Ärzte und Geschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs gleich um die Ecke. Fenster sind schalldicht. Bäder sind sauber 🧽 und die Küchen ein Paradies. Im Sommer lädt der Garten zum Chillen ein. 🤗 Welcome 🙏

Ich habe das Silvesterwochenende mit meinen Freunden hier verbracht und wir waren allesamt zufrieden. Die Zimmer waren sauber, die Betten bequem und mit einem Aldi und Lidl direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite die Verpflegung sehr einfach.
Zudem war das Personal durchweg freundlich und super hilfsbereit. Ich hatte bei der Abreise meine Kopfhörer vergessen und habe diese ein paar Tage später zurück erhalten.
Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung als Unterkunft in Essen.

Very clean rooms, wifi was really strong! Close to lidl. You can cook something and can have a breakfast in modern kitchen.
