Really great shop but they don’t have wifi so not good for working
Nice interior but no wifi or outlets :(
Not a good place to work (no plugs no wifi)
Good americano
Tho no Wi-Fi, still enjoys working here
Great place for coffee&breakfast&work 🙂
Home-roasted coffee beans are fragrant. If you do PC work here, it will progress.
Cool spot but no wifi.
Good coffee! Nice cozy vibes, gets pretty busy since it's in mission and on Valencia. I enjoy it and a good place to chill. There's no wifi fyi
High prices, no wifi, surly staff, hard seats.
Don't recommend. Coffee shops are not just about coffee. Its about the ambience. Personally, its a deal breaker that there's no wifi. Can't work and people watch. Coffee tasted like every other cafe.
Great place for coffee, iced hibiscus tea, recommend excellent lavender cookie!! Great atmosphere to..just sit or work on the laptop
Coffee is amazing and service was great. There’s a good amount of seating - it’s a nice place to work
One of the best coffee shops in the neighborhood. Quality is super consistent. Wish they had wifi.. plenty of people always hang out there working on their laptops anyway, show some love for those of us without unlimited mobile data!
No wifi or outlets, but good coffee! Got a mocha with nice swan latte art.
Great coffee. Perfect for working. No wifi or power outlets though.
Latte was wish-wash; no wifi no outlets; wall decorations were beautiful
It would be nice to spend an afternoon reading books here. Definitely not for work. If you want to get a pour over, they only serve it on Saturday
This review is from a coffee snob and just for coffee I buy at Whole Foods stores. It's unmatched because the company made it a discipline to keep shelves fully stacked with FRESHLY roasted coffees. The latest I've seen was roasted just a one (1!!!) prior.
Thank you!! Keep up the good works and I'll be spreading the good word 💪💪💪
P.S. An update. I am always hesitant about leaving good reviews, being concerned that service/product quality may go down. That's precisely what happened in this case, peculiarly immediately after leaving this review.
Not sure what happened, whether the excellent worker left/got fired, Four Barrels are running out of coffee .... Shelves used to be restocked regularly, now they are mostly empty. Sad.
Hope, the service would go back to the pre-update level and I restore the 5-star rating.
// ambiance //
a popular coffee shop right on valencia street in the mission. spacious interior that allows both standing and sitting. saw a decent amount of people working/on laptops on tables. industrial but modern ambiance and you can even see some of the roastery in the back.
it can get pretty loud though so not sure i would come here to do focus work. we got our coffee to go and walked around the mission instead.
// service //
the employees were friendly and helpful when it came to answering questions. it seems like the baristas know what theyre doing. open bar to see the baristas make your drink. self serve simple syrup on the counter as well as straws, lids, sugar etc. on the side bar.
// iced latte ($6.00) //
i'm not a coffee connoisseur but the coffee tasted good! i got it with less ice and default whole milk. it comes unsweetened so i added a bit of simple syrup myself. the coffee flavor was good and strong. the cup also has a really cute design.
// would i reorder/return? //
i'd come back if i was in the area if i sat for social reasons or took the drink to go -- probably not for work/studying. the pastries in the display case looked good too!
