This place is the best to come get any kind of work done the atmosphere was awesome. Pastries were very good as well as drinks! Parking was easy and restroom was clean.

This is a cozy little place with lots of options for coffee and sweets but also features a well-stocked bar with plenty of booze.

Food is good and the coffee is good. But wifi is TERRIBLE. I was so excited to hang out grab some food and work but it was impossible because of the wifi. If you are planning on spending time there be sure to bring a Hotspot. So frustrating.

Was trying out this coffee shop to see if it was a good workspace and it was definitely a great and comfortable place to set up and work. I had an espresso machiatto I believe and excuse me if I misspelled that lol. It was very good even though it was a very small drink. Didn't get a chance to check if they had wifi connection but I used my Hotspot and it worked flawlessly. The space is very artistic and unique with a free art, sticker, writing and other natural decor from patrons

This coffee shop got me through college. I’m not even joking about that. It’s a great study or chill spot. The food & drinks are good, but a tad bit overpriced. I wish the owner would optimize the wifi and seating of Lux, but other than that, it’s a local favorite of mine.

Their pastries are good. I had their Paloma and it was super delish. The grapefruit was freshly squeeze!!! Their Mac and cheese is to die for. A lot of students come to study here. Great wifi.

The cafe itself is amazing. Really great coffee and a phenomenal bakery. However, having been here a few times over the past couple of years, the wifi is too unstable for me to be able to do any work on my laptop. Great place to meet with a friend, but not to do work if you require any connectivity.

Been a customer at Lux for many many years. Lately the restrooms are often quite dirty and the wifi sucks. Overpriced for the quality of the experience.

UPDATE: originally had this place as 5 stars but was forced to dock it 2 stars due to the atmosphere… yes it became that bad. Last four times coming I have noticed the same issue: there are always guys roasting coffee in the adjacent room who constantly scream and play separate music that you hear conflicting with the main music, which is equally as loud. So it’s pure chaos while you’re trying to work or talk and it’s so loud that noise cancelling headphones can’t even help. Close your eyes and imagine listening to Heavy Metal, Jazzy Blues, & some high school kid yelling with his buddies while they roast coffee—all at a level 10 in volume—FOR HOURS…it was bad enough for me to spend time coming back to update this review so let that sink in…Would only recommend this place for people wanting to be social and NEVER work.

ORIGINAL: One of the top coffee shops in PHX hands down. Love the vibes. Incredible spot to work with good wifi, tables and chairs. Plenty of outlets too. This place is bustling but never too crowded! Good service and people too. Highly recommend. Just be aware that you can’t enter the place from the street frontside! A bit confusing to find when you first get there—they need some signage for sure.

When I lived in this area I came to Lux at least once a week - I love it! It’s a great atmosphere; I would go there to do some work on my laptop, outside of my house. I love the huge (communal) tables - if it’s at a slower time, you can spread out or you can potentially meet new people at the busier times. If you’re doing work, there are so many places for you to charge your electronics which is a huge positive!

There is only one bathroom (?) so the line can get a little long and it can get a little dirty sometimes.

I love the grilled cheese so much, it’s delicious! And the baked goods 🤤 There is also alcohol, which is sick. Just overall a great place!

Pretty good coffee spot. Equally good for laptop and hanging out. Vibe is hipster but the crowd runs the gamut of ages and demographics.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a coffee shop. I used to like the ambience and come to work on my laptop. The coffees were good but always luke warm. But almost great. Definitely tasty but always cold. Beyond that some of the rudest most stuck up bartenders ever. I had one guy talk loudly about my friend negatively and then make mean gestures to me another time I was just drinking wine. I always tip nicely and I felt really used because I was tipping rude bartenders. I also overheard the owner talking negatively about a girl openly and awfully. I stopped going there after that. A real shame. I've literally seen bartenders and baristas gossiping. It has a stuck up energy. It's not a down to earth coffee shop like the one near lost leaf down town that closed and was so neat and cool. This shop is obnoxious and ritzy and I really don't get the hype besides full of themselves.

Awesome pastries, best decaf coffee I’ve had in a while, loud energy lots of laptops, their bar serves drinks earlier in the day, good mixology, delicious food, crowded but communal. Great place!
