Great Cafe, the wifi is a bit slow though.
came here with my girlfriend plenty of times. staff is really nice, there are charges and fast wifi. we sat outside and the terrace is in the sun so it was really nice in the afternoons. they have really nice coffee. i ordered a cortado and was served in a glass instead of a cup, just like in my country. greatly appreciated.

great space, lots of seating, free wifi, great latte - a good find in the heart of Bristol
Full of folk working on laptops
Crap little signs on the tables saying “no laptops” which look tacky but also just don’t give a good vibe. A lot of people work from home and like going out to work for some community and togetherness. Bad VIBEZ.
Quite an aesthetic café. Loved their vibe. Staff were amazing 🤩 They have drinking water tap and a bathroom as well. Perfect for you to spend some time alone, read a book, or get some work done ✨
I really like this coffee shop. There’s always a good vibe, not too busy, good service, good coffee, and just a nice place to sit and chill. The music is one of my favourite things here.. slow funky jazz type stuff.
There’s comfortable seats at the back and tables designated for laptop/no laptop use.
Only reason I gave food a 3 star is that there’s not that much of it, just cakes and pastries.
Great little independent coffee shop, with a lovely genuine community feel, serving a grand selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolates as well as an array of brownies and other delights.
Some tables are designated laptop free, which is a great idea!
Definitely worth a visit when in Bristol!
The only area with a plug is made a laptop free zone. So definitely not a place to go to if you wish to do any work. The staff are also pretty useless. I asked one to clean the table and she didn't manage to do it. She wiped it and left all of the crumbs on the table.. overall I would not recommend. Hatter Coffee Shop opposite the road is much much better!
I have been meaning to visit Cafe Society in Bristol on Baldwin Street for a while now, but never really had the opportunity. When I have walked past it was usually as I was on my way to another place, or I had just had a coffee somewhere else.
So when in town one Saturday and walking past, I decided I would go in for a coffee. The place was busy but there were seats available. There was no queue, so I went to the counter and ordered my coffee, a flat white. Having said that I was drinking in, the barista said to take a seat and they would bring my coffee to me.
I took a seat. I noticed that for some of their seats they had a no laptop rule which was interesting. If you did want to use your laptop, there were shared tables available. The rule was enforced, as I did see someone being asked to move to a laptop table.
My flat white arrived. It looked fantastic.
I really enjoyed the coffee and I think I will certainly visit Cafe Society again.
Service is sooooo slow! All seats are taken by people with laptops sat for hours!
