A good spot to work on a laptop from. Reliable wifi. Good views of the harbour.

Relaxed harbour-side spot for top quality artisan coffee (there’s a board with the offerings of the day) and delicious baked goods. On this occasion my partner and I had an americano with the “Dak” Ethiopian espresso, an earl grey tea and a raspberry dark chocolate brownie. The coffee was subtle and complex and the brownie was gooey and rich. Price point may not be necessarily be the most inexpensive, but is understandable given the location and quality. Expect to find a lot of creative types hard at work on laptops/notebooks sampling the brews.

Lovely coffee and expert baristas. If you are looking for great views of the harbour go there. If you are looking to do work on the laptop also go there. If you are looking for free internet and a safe space to do some
work go there. The cafe provides these things, however it scores low on the “cosy” criterion. The amount of laptops and noise as well as very minimalist decor don’t make it the most warm place but I still do go often for the reasons I mentioned and will carry on doing so. They shut the outside area at 5pm for 5:30 closing

Interesting place buzzing with students using laptops. Good pots of tea. First time visit to Bristol's Quay, good to see so busy.

Lovely spot for a coffee. Near the harbourside with a nice environment inside. Quite modern with a good area to work in. Plenty of people using laptops. Not a huge number of toilets and can lead to a queue. Decent coffee.

Wasn't able to order a coffee in the front garden of the Wetherspoons opposite with my Greyhound, so came to society cafe instead and was made to feel very welcome. Good coffee and cake too. Lots of digital nomads working here was laptops on a Sunday afternoon. Quite a chill hangout. Free wifi. Quite busy but loved it. Thanks for looking after us!

Staff are amazing, lovely chill out place to sit and read or work. With an excellent range of drinks and food.
Thank you to everyone working here, for being so wonderful 💕

wifi very poor, makes it very difficult to work. Coffee was good but doesn't make up for it.

Matthew Mcgovern19.03.2025

Lovely atmosphere for talking or working.
Plenty of seats and great coffee & snacks

Dan Townsend19.03.2025

Excellent coffee and very good cakes. The atmosphere is great for working or just relaxing at the weekend.

Nice place, lovely staff. Great for working. The only problem is there's no background music so sometimes feels like you're in a library. With some music id be here a lot more often as it's a great place otherwise

Orima Kamalu19.03.2025

A great central spot for coffee and cake, nice set up, lots of spots to work from, usually quite busy (especially on weekends)

Eden O'DEA19.03.2025

wifi is shocking . Coffee was over £4 and the cappuccino is smaller than a flat white … also play the music far too loud, can’t concentrate on work, and even if you could, the wifi wouldn’t allow you to .

It must be a damn shame being another coffee shop in Bristol city centre because this one is hard to beat. Even the other Society Cafe next to the Poseidon statue doesn't match the same atmosphere.
Great coffee, cakes and wifi. A good space to socialise for a bit or working on a laptop, with good wifi speeds. And of course, always good to watch people try opening the side door in vain after they've locked it because of high winds

I have never read the newspaper that they put out but you know what, it hits exactly the right vibe.

Really friendly staff! Quick service and a tidy place to relax! Went here to do some studying and have some coffee! Came out hot with some pretty latte art. Nice cafe to get work done, meet friends or just to grab some drinks. Staff were consistently walking around and cleaning tables and were happy to interact with other customers! :) Definitely recommend if you’re in the area or passing by.

Great coffee and atmosphere, but veery bad wifi which is a big factor to me staying and buying mulitple coffee's. Would come back a lot more if this was improved.

Henry Angell19.03.2025

I used to have a good mobile network so never needed to use the wifi, but now I don't and I rely on the customer wifi. I only come all the way into town to this cafe to study as I enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere, but the wifi is unusable. It seems pointless to even have customer wifi if it this poor and it means I won't be returning, which is a shame.

Had matcha latte. Environment was good. Free wifi. Toilet available.

Phil Reynolds19.03.2025

Amazing coffee ☕
Great smoothies 🍹
Brilliant service 🧑‍🍳
Shocking wifi 📵 (and very little mobile data on 3)

Breda Bosch19.03.2025

I loved the environment of this cafe and the coffee itself was amazing! There's a lot of space to come with your laptop or book to get some work done or just enjoy being by the harbor. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't very strong so I mainly did some writing work. It's also one of the more expensive coffee shops in Bristol. All in all it was an enjoyable experience.
