Genuinely one of the coolest places and best lattes Iâve ever experienced, and I often bring my laptop here to work since itâs one of the few coffeehouses that stay open quite late. The espresso has a nutty, rich flavor, and every time Iâve gone, itâs consistently solid and delicious. Iâd probably rank it in the top 5 lattes Iâve ever had in my life, hands down. I always just get an iced oat milk latte, but they have loads of flavors and other drink options as well.
There are two sections - one side is a bit smaller with separate tables thatâs on the quieter side and better for working, while the other side has community tables, nooks, a bar, and a stage, and can get much louder and more social. The atmosphere is incredible no matter what, and whether youâre going to get some work done or catch up with friends, itâs genuinely one of my favorite cafes Iâve ever been to. Thereâs also alcohol and food, if youâre looking for more cafe vibes, and farmers markets happen in the parking lot sometimes as well.
[ps. the staff is cooler than any of us will ever be, so donât get yourself in a twist if they donât pull out a Disney-customer-service attitude for you]
wifi is hit or miss depending on where you are in the store but great place to study, talk or read.
Coffee is fantastic and good choices of beer and other spirits.
Place is amazing, quiet, great coffee and great food but their wifi is terrible. Cool coffee shop but hard to get work done. Please get better wifi iâm begging you.
Huge lunch bowls with out-of-this world delicious food and lots for the vegetarian/vegan. Groovy decor, books to read, lots of indoor and outdoor space to sit. wifi, of course. Friendly, down-to-earth staff. 12 stars for Stardust!
For years I have been coming to this place and I have seen it become more and more geared towards bohemian bourgeois, who have a false sense of being environmentally conscious. In reality, though they host a semi organic market sponsored by the Audubon district, Stardust has nothing organic about its practices: they don't recycle, don't use organic food, and for the past few years, they have been overcharging for mediocre food and their absence of service, in the name of remaining pseudo-Cool.
Sadly, I will not go back and neither should you. Oh, and their wifi is always unreliable.
Awesome place on a Monday to chill and do home work.
Adorable coffee shop with plenty of room for working, studying, and relaxing. Thereâs coffee and tea plus books for sale. They also have a kitchen with snacks. The photo booth is an adorable touch too!
Dark and gloomy inside plus the wifi was spotty
really love the atmosphere, food, and drinks. the lady that took my order was really friendly and recommended me the jasmine tea, it was fantastic! i love the addition of the vintage photo booth. food and drink prices were very reasonable. i just wish the wifi has better connection. it is almost impossible to get work done using the wifi, luckily my studying did not require wifi. overall, iâd recommend this place for a nice coffee, snack, and lounging!
This place has great food, fresh food, okay drinks , the service is what kills it for me, Iâm not a service snob , I donât need a grand welcome or a big smile, I just ask that if I order something I donât get eye rolls or attitude, or a huff, I get it no one likes working sometimes but Iâm spending money because I am trying to be a Consumer of this business and Iâd ask at least for a little respect , I give nothing but respect to any worker or person so why canât I get the same back? wifi is hit or miss, itâs a good place if you just want to talk to friends , got a cool vibe but the service sours my experience every time
Cool concept and setup, great music playlist, decent food. Even though it's hard to screw up two sandwiches and two coffees in 45mins, everything tasted good. But wow, the customer service is freaking awful here. If you like being talked down to and eyerolled at by snobby, rude, and pretentious hipster "baristas", you'll probably love this place.
Also fix the wifi and give the place a wipe down with a wet cloth or something, I mean Jesus. They'd only been open a couple of hours when we got there and the place was already sticky and grubby.
Do better, kids!
Update...after finishing my review and tucking into my sandwich, both myself and the dude I'm here with said the same thing...nice food, but actually not even close to what we ordered. So yeah, I guess it isn't hard after all to screw up two sandwiches in 45mins...especially when you're busy and preoccupied with looking cool and sneering at everyone
magical experience :) good wifi and vibes at night
Iâve been coming here since it used to be mostly a video/DVD rental place. Price of a coffee drink is literally half of what you pay at a local chain like Foxtail. I personally love how dim it is inside on an otherwise bright, hot day. The food is pretty decent, although you might wait a long time to receive it.
The day staff is comically rude. If youâve ever lived in Brooklyn or the Pacific Northwest - more specifically, if you lived in either of those places during the reign of Gen X and the Millennials - youâll feel right at home. If a middle-aged barista being mean to you for no reason is likely to ruin your day, skip this place and try Lobos, or any other coffee shop. If you need to get work done using wifi, I would also recommend going somewhere else. For writers looking to cut down distractions and get pages done, this place is king.
In the evenings, the bar is usually much friendlier, and makes tasty, affordable drinks. Youâll either have the place pretty much to yourself, or thereâll be some local event (live music, open mic) happening.
Great place to work, read and even coffee
This place has been around for longer than I care to admit, but letâs just say I used to go here with my friends long ago and now I go with my daughters and their friends. Great hot chocolate, coffee drinks, cocktails, and food. Perfect place to work/study by day and enjoy live entertainment by night. Note the Photo Booth doesnât always work, but itâs fun when it does!
The atmosphere / decor is cool, but thatâs all this place has going for it. A lot of people working / studying, so itâs definitely a relaxed vibe. We ordered and was stared down blankly by our cashier, while asking a few questions about the menu. I was told stardust is famous for having terrible customer service and it shows.
If a restaurant has âsnobâ factor, you expect for the food to be good to compensate for it. While we waited a very long time for our meals, we received a salad and chili.
Salad was pretty good, hard to mess up a salad.
The chili came with too many chips, served at room temperature, and was basically rice and beans. I love rice and beans, but that isnât what we ordered. It felt like they opened up a box of Uncle Benâs jambalaya.
So if youâre going to come, come for the coffee and open up your laptop. Go elsewhere for food.
We wonât be coming back.
Cool creative vibe. Quiet enough to work but also inspire.
Espresso, Earl Grey Tea, Sparkling Water, Champagne, all the options. Drinks, drinks, drinks, no shortage of drink options. Snacks available too, caprese style sandwich or caprese side salad with balsamic dressing are favorites. Funny food names to honor local patrons of the establishment. Live music and entertainment or when quiet, a nice place to work remotely, or just socialize and collaborate with other creatives. Never a dull moment. Leave caffeinated and ready to face the world.
Fun space to hang out or do some work and the coffee and drinks are great as well.
The coffee and tea drink were satisfying. Our cashier was pleasant and had a great smile. Not just doing her job. Above and beyond. Atmosphere was eclectic old gems everywhere and written comments from philosophers of our generation scribbled. Bandstand and a chess club playing chess with students studying on laptops. Only problem was the cleanliness of the back room and bathrooms. Quite in need of attention. Otherwise a fun stop and check mark off the bucket list.
