One of the worst place for working/ using laptop. The charging ports & seating is uncomfortable. There is something missing in the chairs placement

Utkarsh Verma25.03.2025

Third wave has always been at the top of its game as a cafe, but this third wave is exceptionally good!

The difference between it and the other Third waves?
1) It's on Church Street! Perfect to be going to right after loads of shopping, arcading,or whatever else you may have done. Topped by the fact that you're probably with the right crowd to be headed to a cafe to begin with.
2) It's well spaced. It's got just the right amounts of seats, and the mirrors, make it seem even more spacious and pretty too. If you're scared to be in a cafe because of their usually claustrophobic environment, this one wouldn't do you bad I guarantee!
3) The aesthetics, and the general vibes! The place has great interiors, and has a neatly painted ceiling (I honestly wonder who told a majority of the cafes that an industrial ceiling would suit them better??). The floor is well matted, the restrooms well maintained: even if you are sitting close to them they don't make you uncomfortable. The music is just right too, jazzy, chill music. There's an exterior an interior section too.
4) There's a second floor! Yes you'd need to climb up, but isn't that so worth not having to see the door constantly open and close with new customers walking in and out every few minutes?? They come and serve to your table too, although, you do have to place your order downstairs.

Why Third Wave itself is such a great chain:
1) They are ideal for working, they have a well cooled atmosphere, never too crowded, and charging ports too for all your devices! They also have a book collection in case you need a break. Watching other people work is also great motivation to get working yourself isn't it? In case you're a student, replace work with study, same arguments

2) They provide quality Coffee! THIS IS A MUST FOR A CAFE (obviously). Yes, they've got some of the best coffees for decent prices. They have huge variety, cream, no cream, ice cream, black coffee, iced coffee, mochas, frappes and the list just goes on! I wouldn't say the prices are ideal, but the taste and quality sure is. They understand that not everyone likes a sugary mess, so they'd comply for no sugar and provide you with separate packets too for custom calibration. Speaking of sugars: they also have brown sugar as a healthier option. Even the classic cold coffees, lattes, mochas and frappes are all done right! Generally, you can bask in the smell of freshly ground coffee and untouched coffee beans right at the entrance of most third waves too!

3) The food is delicious. The food is a bit on the pricier side. But that is just how cafes do it. Their food is still delicious and so are the desserts. As much variety as the coffees have, so do their desserts. They've got everything from Brownies and pastries to cinnamon rolls and Japanese sponge cakes! It's worth a try, especially if you're splitting the cost!

4) They've got membership offers for regulars. This adds to you going there for work or studies. The more you go the more you get.

Some downsides to the place:
1) As mentioned, the food items are on the pricier side.
2) The air conditioning was not done well (referring to the one in church street only)
3) The staff are not too helpful at times (again, only the one in church Street).

1. Co-working cafe, decent wifi, multiple seating for laptops.
2. Don't visit for food, quality is poor.
3. Lack of options of nutritional value
4. Ambient lighting & co-working ambience.
5. Pet-friendly
6. Open for Long hours
7. Absence of snacking options
8. Lack of plug points - inconvenient ergonomics. Had to leave the cafe, because laptop battery was low.
9. Decent music played

Aishwarya B25.03.2025

Good place to work, catch up with friends. Does tend to get crowded and a bit noisy as a result. More of a cafe- cafe, so don't expect a lunch menu. The coffees and the ice teas are great here.
