Walking into Gabi, it is a wonderful little rustic spot to drink tea, coffee, have some delicious snacks. The decor is my favorite. The coffee was strong. &The tea was delicious!! The creme brûlée macaroons left me wanting more!
It’s a great spot to catch up with a friend or a family member to talk. Or perfect spot to come alone and read, write, get some work done on your laptop.
Love it. Recommend ♥️
Quaint spot, great food, great coffee. Unfortunately the wifi has to be reconnected to nearly every 15 minutes - absolutely disruptive to trying to get work done most efficiently. Really a bummer. I would not work here again on a laptop until they fix that.
My goodness, where do I start?! This is definitely my absolute favorite place to go when I need to sit down in an amazing atmosphere and get a lot of work done on my laptop. The food is amazing and so are the drinks! I feel like I’m in a hidden gem every single time. I love the historical vibes that it gives their and I appreciate the nice customer service! Even the bathroom is unique, and that it teaches you a foreign language while you are inside doing your business :-) such a great concept here
Nice place to sip a good cup of coffee and get some work done. The wifi is pretty slow though.
Neat place. Expensive. $9.50 for a pot of tea. But great place to set up laptop and get some work done. As busy as this place always is, somehow my house has more distractions. Plugs everywhere to power your electronics. Everyone working there is super nice.
So you walk in, order, and seat yourself. Then they call your name over a loud speaker so you can achieve your items and bring them back to your seat. Need to hunt down the cutlery napkin station. There's couches an all sorts of chairs, thrift store style. Fake plants. Old rugs and cheap fake grass. Different kinds of coffee and side tables. A seated stadium wood area. People on their laptops were doing catcow. The teapots looked super cute. The food was good, but I ordered the Avocado croissant, so nothing fancy. Tasted like Italian dressing was on it, Avocado was browned, the croissant was fresh, fluffy and really tasty. Got the Gabi coffee drink. It perked me up a little, not as much as i expected. They were out of other drinks. The people watching was great. Many different characters. The ground was dirty, the couch was messy. Personally, it's too loud for my liking. Interesting place to socialize, feel like you are somewhere else. I wouldn't be able to study here. Alot going on. Asked about the roasting, the staff said they didn't know or roast anything that day. Try it out. Interesting experience.
First you need Google Maps to find this place, for the first time.. Yes, it is on a main drag but the sign is small(and it's a large place once you are inside). The ambience of the place is great, with its unusual decor and super friendly staff. In the back is a gigantic 3 or 4 tier bookshelf (don't know what else to call it) where you can sit on the shelves and have your coffee or tea on your Tatami tea table. The coffee and food were both excellent. I had sea salt coffee and Tiramisu Crepe. Talk about calories!! Alot of people working on their computers and having coffee. Only thing is they are a bit on the high side.
Great ambience, good place to work or study but I found the prices to be outrageous. $8.57 for a 16oz iced latte? Also, I wasn’t impressed with the pastries.
Super cute coffee shop . Maybe not a "do work at" type of coffee shop since the music is loud but still cute!
Non working internet, high prices, too crowded. What else to say.
Really cool coffee shop
2/15/2023 Edit - came back after all this time, still the same great atmosphere that attracted me the first time! Highly recommend anyone that wants to get some work done at a coffee shop off strip with lots of food options here and around here
Interesting place, lots of seating, no signage in front, Americano krab. So, when I was looking for the place, with all the noise coming from inside, I thought it was a speakeasy bar. This was, by and large, the noisiest coffee shop that I have ever been to. Adding the music on top of the crowd noise the environment made me very anxious and I could not wait to leave. To the best of my knowledge, no internet network is set up for customer usage; what I was able to connect to was intermittent but barely worked at all.
The person at the register said they no longer make the drink I originally ordered from their menu. I had to clean the area where I chose to sit because the table was filthy and I did not see any employees wiping down any tables while I was here. Although I like the decor, and I can see this place has a niche crowd, I do not think I will return here unless I happen to be in the immediate area. Even still, I was much more comfortable doing my work at the McDonald's across the street (which had much better wifi).
wifi network was down and they didnt offer their other 2 networks. Pretty big sin for a coffee shop.
The coffee is also priced as a high end specialty shop. 7$ for a cappuccino to start with. A classic avo toast for double that.
Lemon orzo soup tasted good but had too much oil in it. Salad lacked salt.
horrible wifi. 3mbps or less..
Very cool atmosphere. Friendly staff and good drinks, but very pricey. I've gone 3 days in a row, but 1 star because their wifi doesn't work (not even able to load email). I have a PhD in computer science...I tried all my wizardry to get it working to no avail, so it's definitely an issue on their end they apparently refuse to address. My girlfriend also couldn't connect.
For the prices they charge, they have no excuse for completely unusable wifi. I'd love to go again, but I won't due to lack of wifi.
The atmosphere was excellent, a bit chilly, so bring a jacket. The wifi was meh some areas it was great and other areas not so much. A bit pricey as well.
I have been coming to Gabi Coffee & Bakery on and off for several months, and the service was always average but not terrible. However, today's experience ( 3/12/22 ) was awful. The cashier who took my order (Dawn) had no personality, was very unfriendly and unprofessional. The price she charged did not match the website, shopping cart, and checkout portal, which was not working again.
Still, I patiently worked with that, as she claimed that Gabi Coffee & Bakery just raised prices "yesterday" ( $5.50 Americano is now $6.50 - 18% increase! ).
Things went down the hill when she messed up my order, and after I asked her to correct it, she gave me a total attitude and brought me my "corrected" Americano in a dirty cup, probably on purpose. I spoke to the Manager ( Greg ), whose customer service philosophy was pretty much "take it or leave it." Greg in no way attempted to offer any assistance and asked me to leave the restaurant. I was already living anyway, and I promised myself never to come back to that place again.
If anytime I am asked to meet someone at Gabi's on business, I will recommend another restaurant and share this experience with them at that time. It looks like Gabi Coffee & Bakery is too busy to care about customer experience anymore.
On a side note, Gabi Coffee & Bakery is extremely expensive, highly overpriced, and 100% overrated. Their internet and wifi connection is extremely slow and turns off every 5-10 minutes, making you sign in constantly. Therefore, this is not the place if you have any serious online studies, work, or research. I would highly recommend staying away from Gabi Coffee & Bakery until they slow down and learn how to care for their customers.
First time here... I was desperate to find a location I can work from, and this place comes close. Great food / coffee / ambiance. Love the plastic dividers as it limits the noise somewhat. Easy to login and access the network.
Areas of improvement
- I had to leave in the middle of the day when it got really busy as the wifi bandwidth slowed and my online Teams meeting kept dropping. PLEASE IMPROVE THE wifi BANDWITH
- Music is great selection, but really too loud for working here. Celling is made of metal and lots of sound bouncing all over the place.
- Order announcements - Very garbled and hard to understand, small issue but noticeable and disrupting.
- Last request is to install sound dampening items (carpets, etc.) to lower the over all noise.
