loved the coffee and the place, people working here were amazing, since the inside seating area is small i suggest if u can put a time limit for each seating, because people with laptops take forever that others cant get a chance to sit inside and enjoy the nice decorations.

What a wonderful place! The owner and employees are delightful. The desserts and coffee too! Not overly sweet just perfectly balanced and top presentation. I’m happy this place is on this neighborhood as it was very much needed!! I can’t wait to return! Keep up the amazing work!

Hinar is absolutely stunning in every way from the aesthetics, the customer service and the quality of their products. Absolutely gorgeous space that is dog friendly. Really nice space to bring your laptop and work, with an outdoor space to sit as well. 10/10 recommend!

Hinar has plenty of seating options and gorgeous desserts! I tried the white chocolate raspberry cake and the orange blossom latte they were so delicious together! Great place to work on your laptop as well. The only thing is, make sure your devices are fully charged outlets are limited to the booths at the front of the store and 2 tables nearest the bathroom. The large island sadly had no outlets but had board games!

Additionally,
who I can only assume was the owner, came around and was very kind and welcoming!

Last thing the two partitioned areas inside will be retail spaces I think one is to be beauty related but I cannot confirm this.

I recently had a disappointing encounter with the customer service at Hinar. I was shocked by the aggressive and pushy behavior of the staff.

During my visit, I was approached by a staff member and manager i believe who insisted that I purchase a product just to remain inside the venue. Their tone was confrontational and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It's disappointing to see a company prioritize sales over customer satisfaction and basic courtesy. Iv purchased things before at this establishment and i held it to a higher standard until today on 04June2024.

I believe that customer service should be about making patrons feel welcome and valued, not coerced into making purchases they don't want or need. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I'll think twice before returning to Hinar in the future. I will be imploring patron who are in the service like myself, LGBTQ+ alike, and other friends/family to not do business at this establishment due to the aggression i encountered.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements changes to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and professionalism.

Under their Google in about content of the establishment it says Free wifi and accepting of the LGBTQ+ community. I don't feel accepted at all and this is the first time iv ever expierienced this discrimination in beautiful San Diego.

Love this place so much. Everything tastes great. My favorite is the matcha Basque cheesecake. I've tried almost everything here. Kurdish-owned I believe. That being said, only thing that sucks is that everyone sits at the shop with their laptops open so they take up time and space. If you're only one person, stay at a small seating, don't sit at a big table for 3+, so inconsiderate. Also, leave and stop staying there for hours. There should be something said to keep spaces open and moving to actual customers. This isn't a co-working space. I've been here a few times and there's never seating inside because of the laptops. There are extra seating outside, but that takes away from the experience. All of the actual customers who buy and eat are forced to sit outside because of customers with their laptops.

The biscoff cheesecake is the best dessert you can get from here, however, there are not a lot of coffee variety you can choose from and it is not ideal for students who wants to study or those individuals who wants to work on their laptops. They only allow you 1 hour to utilize the seats for studying or anything that warrants to use your laptop. Some of their employees and I think the owner too does not even smile or seems to be accommodating when it comes to their customers. It is a good place to get desserts though especially their cakes.

A local hot spot…

This is a local hot spot, somehow off the beaten touristy path, you can tell it is filled with regulars and, in a way, that’s kind of intimidating. Probably because of the small parlor, or maybe because all tables are filled with patrons working on their laptops and that makes finding a table harder while putting you under the spotlight, not sure why, but you get to feel that outsider vibe; but please, let me remark that neither the staff nor patrons were rude or unwelcoming. On the other hand, however, the parlor itself adds for a more chilled-out mood with its neutral palette and cozy lighting, everything feels better once you’ve found where to settle.

Izola checks all the boxes of current instagramable coffee shop trends: high quality coffee, cold brews, dairy and non-dairy options, aesthetic cups and coquette desserts; nothing out of the ordinary, though more alternatives to coffee would be appreciated, and quality probably is way above regular. Lattes were outstanding, regarding their lack of latte art, and the Lotus tart and the cheesecake were deliciously creamy and sizeable, one tart could have worked for two. If the other desserts taste half as good as they look, rest assure you won’t get disappointed with whatever you order.
