Best coffee in Agonda! Great atmosphere, delicious menu of traditional and western food. Strong wifi for a bit of remote working.
We went to Mandala cafe for breakfast. Beautiful temple like vibe , pure . We had to keep our footware out before entering the cafe. The moment you enter, you are greeted with a nice fragrance of agarbattis , soothing sound of Om namah shivai chants. You can see people working, reading and eating. You will see 2-3 dogs sleeping peacefully inside. The place was full and hence we shared the table with 2 girls. We ordered for overnight oats, smoothie bowl, bhurji and poha. The bhurji and poha was too tasty , even the overnight oats was yum !! They have very healthy dishes in their menu. And offcourse the chai! They sell agarbattis as well. I bought 2 fragrances, yet to try them but I am sure they will be good. a must visit cafe if you are in south Goa. I got a very German bakery which is in Anjuna, North Goa feel. Nice time spent.
Food is good (better be at this price) but the service not so much... They make you move to their "laptop zones" if you are coming with your PC (even when the place is empty) to either tiny tables or low tables with cushions on the floor (that hurt your back if you are working). And I wonder what's the point of having "laptop zones" if the plug points are not available at these designated tables and the wifi is unstable...
Great place to work and chill, super low key and don‘t miss the chess game with Mr. Masala♟️
Mandala is a very cozy place where you can get delicious food, cakes and the best coffee. Very kind people, relaxing music in the background and beautiful decorations and plants makes it a place you could stay at for hours. It’s also a great place to work from.
My most favourite drinks:
Passion cooler, chai, iced coconut coffee and soft love smoothie
My most favourite meals:
Avocado toast, banana pancake, thali, paneer butter masala, honey chilli potatoes
Food was good, and the place looks nice, but the staff was fairly rude. The place was empty when we got there (and remained quiet throughout the morning) yet we were asked to move from the table we had picked because one of us had a laptop. When we asked where we could sit, we were shown to either couches on the floor (not very comfortable with a laptop) or tiny tables where there were no plugs available. Not to mention you have to take your shoes off which means going to a shared bathroom barefoot, and we all know men don't always aim that well...
I don't advise going there.
